Sourdough Starter is made by Ballarat Home Brew, who have been supplying brewers and bakers of the Victorian country town of Ballarat for the last 20 years. One of the oldest known forms of grain fermentation, sourdough bread is believed to have originated in ancient Egypt around 1,500 BC.
